Elie Rothschild has devoted his professional career to the development of clean energy. For the past 11 years, Mr. Rothschild has been involved in the renewable energy and sustainable building industries. He is a licensed solar contractor (C46) in the state of California. Mr. Rothschild is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin business school, and is a dedicated father and husband.
John Humphrey has worked in the renewable energy industry since 2002 and has experience working on energy projects in Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Scotland as well as the US. Mr. Humphrey holds a graduate degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
George Schnakenberg III has 11 years of product design experience, which includes work experience at Altitude Inc., Proteus Design in Boston, and Y Studios in San Francisco. His designs have won several Business Week/IDS IDEA awards and span multiple disciplines including solar products to consumer electronics. Mr. Schnakenberg graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design.
Joe O’Connor has 9 years of design and engineering experience and has worked in the renewable energy industry in San Francisco and New York for the last 5 years. Joe is a manufacturing engineering graduate student at Polytechnic Institute of NYU, and was selected as a recipient of the Catherine B. Reynolds Foundation Fellowship for Social Entrepreneurship.
Dr. Theanne Schiros provides scientific direction and connections to research facilities. Dr. Schiros is a Research Fellow at the Energy Frontier Research Center at Columbia University. She did her Ph.D. at Stockholm University in Chemical Physics and was a postdoctoral researcher at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Light Source. Dr. Schiros’ research is focused on solar energy conversion devices such as organic photovoltaics, photocatalysts for solar water splitting and advanced nano-materials for fuel cell catalysts and hydrogen storage.
Dr. Gerry Gorman is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years leading as CEO, President, COO, and Director of several companies. He has experience with a variety of companies: large and small, domestic and international, and privately held and publically traded, including as President and CEO of a wholly owned subsidiary of the General Electric Company. Dr. Goreman has particular expertise in strategic planning, product development and management, as well as supply chain management. In addition, Dr. Gorman has a strong background in engineering and development as well as sales and marketing. Dr. Goreman holds a Ph.D in Business from Warren National University.
Franklin Madison, Jr., recently named one of Crain’s Tech 100, a listing of the Top 100 individuals in technology in New York City as chosen by Crain’s NY Business, joined ITAC in 1999 as Technology Program Coordinator, and within four months was promoted to Technology Program Director.
He is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of new programs to assist high-tech firms in NYC and managing the FastTrac Programs. He holds an A.A. in Liberal Arts/English from CUNY, and Certificates from New York University in Business Administration and in Real Estate Practice in New York.
